Samar

My Approach

As a massage therapist and intuitive herbalist, Samar strives to bring the body to a place where it can invite nourishment and healing through organic, natural means.

His treatments are not bound to a fixed sequence, but unfold through attentive listening, drawing on techniques learnt directly within the traditions of South India, Thailand and Nepal to help clients release stress and outdated thought patterns.

His sessions are conducted with careful awareness, noticing where and how the body is resisting or inviting presence, while giving attention to deep or hidden areas that ask to be acknowledged and worked through.

Re-orientation and Re-newal are the guiding principles in Samar’s work.

A session with Samar may combine elements of Ayurvedic Abhyanga, Thai massage, Deep Tissue work, fascial techniques, Reflexology, Reiki and Abdominal Bodywork. Each treatment is an invitation to understand the body a little more deeply and to support its own process of renewal.

He works with Flow State because of a shared recognition that listening is first and foremost for the journey of healing and self-discovery.

About Me

Samar’s path into bodywork arose from his practice as an artist and academic working at the intersection of ecology, philosophy of science and poetry, with a specialisation in interspecies communication.

His therapeutic massage practice has been shaped by time spent living in India and Thailand, where he learnt from healers and doctors whose teachings continue to inform his work today.

Alongside his work as a psychosomatic massage therapist, Samar is an intuitive herbalist and is currently training as a naturopath, expanding his understanding of how the body can be supported through touch, plants and nutrition.

Known for his calm and gentle approach, Samar creates a welcoming space for clients to unwind and take time for themselves.

My Services

“The quality of my relationship with clients, even when non-verbal, is deeply rewarding.

Having the honour to help them feel that this space is theirs to unwind in, and that this time is for them to dedicate to catching up with themselves”
